Advisory Board
BEOBE's advisory board consists of a dedicated group of experts who help to improve our work and ensure that we maintain the highest quality standards. On our advisory board, we have experts from various fields, including child and youth welfare, social work, law and psychology. Together we work to represent the best interests of children and young people and ensure that BEOBE operates effectively.
The advisory board consists of the following members:
Ombuds service and psychology:
Herr Prof. Dr. Ulrich Paetzold (BTU Cottbus)

Professor Ulrich Paetzold studied psychology and is a licensed psychotherapist. He was the dean of Faculty 4 at the Brandenburg University of Technology in Cottbus Senftenberg for many years. He worked as a professor of clinical psychology at the Institute of Social Work, specialising in the following areas: traumatisation of children and adolescents, suicide in children and adolescents, intercultural psychology and counselling processes in difficult life situations. Even now in retirement, he is still deeply engaged with issues related to child and youth welfare, psychosocial counselling, and ombuds service.
Child and youth welfare law:
Benjamin Raabe

Benjamin Raabe is an experienced lawyer and specialised attorney. He specialises in child and youth law in particular. In addition to his work as a lawyer, he is a member of the board of the youth welfare organisation Aktion 70 e.V. He demonstrates his expertise in regular continuing training courses, lectures and the preparation of legal reports in youth law.
Social work, network, practice:
Dr. Barbara Wenzke (BTU Cottbus)

Dr. Barbara Wenzke is a graduate social worker/social pedagogue and heads the practice office at the Brandenburg University of Technology in Cottbus Senftenberg or the Social Work course. Her main areas of interest are supporting students in their internships, the link between teaching and practice and the fields of education in old age and volunteering.
